Fr. Horkan gave the following series of talks on Church history during the summer of 2017. They are entitled Founded Upon the Rock: The Church Throughout the Ages. The title comes from the end of Louis de Wohl's book entitled Founded Upon Rock, which ends with the classic lines: “More storms may arise as well as more dangers. But we remember that our Lord said at the end of the Sermon on the Mount, of the wise man and his house, ‘And the rains fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, but it did not fall, because it was founded upon rock.’” (Matt 7:25)
